Seymour Joins Forsyth County as Director of Information Systems & Technology

Forsyth County government has hired a director to lead its Information Systems & Technology Department. Mike Seymour joined the county staff as director of Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) on August 28. This position directs the operational and managerial activities and assists with the strategic planning of the IS&T Department, in addition to providing technical leadership and expertise to county departments and offices.

 

Seymour brings to the position more than 25 years of professional experience in the field of information technology. Most recently he served as an account executive with Hewlett-Packard Enterprise working with clients such as SAP, thyssenkrupp and AGCO. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

 

“Technology continues to play an increasing role in the lives of our citizens and how they interact with their government,” said Chief Information Officer Brandon Kenney. “We are very pleased to have Mike, a seasoned IT professional, join our team and be a part of our efforts to continually modernize our technology to serve the citizens of Forsyth County.”
