Mike Seymour Named Chief Information Officer of Forsyth County

Mike Seymour has been named Chief Information Officer for Forsyth County, replacing former CIO Brandon Kenney.

Seymour brings over 20 years of technology experience to the role, and he previously served as the Director of Information Systems and Technology for Forsyth County from 2017-2019.

“We are thrilled to see Mike Seymour return to the County and fill the role of chief information officer,” said County Manager David McKee. “His experience and background in the technology sector and with the County make him an excellent fit as a manager of Forsyth County’s IT resources.”

Previously, Seymour worked as a Client Executive II at NTT DATA, responsible for the eastern region of EA accounts across multiple industries.

As Director of Forsyth County IS&T, Seymour was the leader of applications development, applications support and the project management office, which produced results of 95 percent of projects hitting their estimated go-live dates in the first year of his implementation.

Seymour has completed multiple trainings and programs within the technology field: Hewlett-Packet Enterprise Spartans Training, EDS Manufacturing Enterprise Leadership Program, EDS Account Leadership Program and EDS System Engineering Development Program.

Seymour holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering technology with a minor in computer science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
