Forsyth County Animal Shelter to Participate in National Adoption Event

The Forsyth County Animal Shelter is joining shelters across the country for the annual ‘Clear the Shelters’ adoption event on Saturday, Aug. 17.

“We are still in our ‘Summer of Love’ promotion, where we are providing free pet adoptions, so it seemed like a natural fit for us to join the ‘Clear the Shelters’ event this year,” said Forsyth County Shelter Manager Cindy Iacopella.

“We would love to go home on Aug. 17 and know that we have found homes for all of the animals in our care.”

The shelter will be open 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Aug. 17.

The ‘Summer of Love’ promotion runs through Sept. 3, 2019.  In addition to waiving adoption fees, all pet adoptions include microchipping, spaying/neutering and age appropriate vaccinations.

For more information on the shelter, including photos of adoptable pets, please visit the shelter’s webpage.
