Forsyth County Animal Shelter Hosting Spring Fling Adoption Event this Saturday

Community invited to attend family-friendly and pet-friendlyevent

The Forsyth County Animal Shelteris hosting their second Spring Fling adoption event this Saturday, April 23, from 10a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Forsyth County Animal Shelter. The event will offer family-friendlyand pet-friendly activities including a bounce house, water balloon toss, dogagility course, free food and more. For those bringing pets, microchipping willbe available for $15 to the first 20 pet owners and for $25 for all others.

The event is free to attend, and during the event dogs and catswill be available for adoption.

“We invite everyone to join us at our Spring Fling adoptionevent for a day of fun and a chance to meet the wonderful animals available foradoption at the shelter,” said Animal Shelter Manager Jeanie Curphey.

Forsyth County opened its new animal shelter in August 2014.Construction of the approximately 13,700-square-foot facility was funded by theSpecial Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) VII program approved by votersin 2011.

The Forsyth County Animal Shelter is located just off of GA400 at 4065 County Way in northern Forsyth County. The shelter is open foradoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
