Department of Water & Sewer Recognized for Excellence In Water And Wastewater Systems Operations
The Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer was recognized by the Board of Commissioners for winning eight prestigious awards from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) at a May 15 meeting.
The awards received include:
- Water Reclamation Facility of the Year Award for both the Fowler Water Reclamation Facility and the Manor Water Reclamation Facility
- 2025 Gold Awards for the Fowler, James Creek, Shakerag and Manor water reclamation facilities
- 2024 Platinum Collection System Excellence Award
- 2024 Platinum Distribution System Excellence Award
“These awards … recognize the awesome work, dedication and exceptional efforts of the Forsyth County water professionals to properly manage, operate, maintain and stay in full … compliance for our water and wastewater systems,” said Department of Water & Sewer Director Scott Adams at the meeting.
Pam Burnett, executive director of GAWP, said the awards reflect the Department of Water & Sewer’s “exceptional dedication, professionalism and operational excellence.”
The Board of Commissioners congratulates the Department of Water & Sewer and thanks its staff for their commitment to providing Forsyth County with the highest quality water and wastewater services.
