Dec. 2 UPDATE: The Boil Water Advisory for all impacted by the outage has been lifted. It is now safe to consume/use water without boiling.

4:50 p.m. UPDATE: Water is slowly being turned back on and flushed in areas impacted by the water main break as crews continue working to restore the outage area. Customers are asked to boil water until the advisory is lifted which will be following samples being collected and tested.

Due to a water main break on Thursday, Nov. 30, the Forsyth County Department of Water and Sewer has shut off water in the Shady Grove Road peninsula area until repairs can be made. Impacted customers are asked to boil water before dinking, cooking or preparing baby food once water is restored until notified that the boil water advisory has been lifted.

Customers along the following roads are under the advisory and should boil water for at least one full minute after reaching a full boil:

Shady Grove Rd (from the intersection of Tanglewood Dr to the end of Shady Grove Rd)
