UPDATE: Planned Water Outage/Boil Water Advisory: Oakmont and Waterbrooke Crossing Subdivisions

OCT. 20 UPDATE: The boil water advisory has been lifted for the Oakmont and Waterbrooke Crossing subdivisions.

The Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer has scheduled overnight water outages for the Oakmont and Waterbrooke Crossing subdivisions on Tuesday, Oct. 17, and Wednesday, Oct. 18, from approximately 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night, weather permitting. The outages are required to install two new waterline crossings as part of GDOT’s project to widen SR 9 (Atlanta Hwy.).

Addresses from 4445 Atlanta Hwy. to 4643 Atlanta Hwy. will be affected by the outages and have been notified.

Once water service is restored, those impacted by this outage should boil water used for drinking, cooking or preparing baby food until the boil water advisory is lifted. The water should be boiled for at least one full minute after reaching a full boil.

The boil water advisory will last for 48 hours after water service is restored, unless notified otherwise by the Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer.

For additional information, please contact the Department of Water & Sewer at 770-781-2160.
