BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED: Pilgrim Mill Road Peninsula Area

UPDATE: The Forsyth County Department of Water and Sewer has lifted the boil water advisory that was issued on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, for Southlake Court and the Pilgrim Mill Rd. peninsula effective immediately. Customers no longer need to boil water before drinking, cooking or preparing baby food. Thank you.


On Thursday, Oct. 6, the Forsyth County Department of Water and Sewer experienced a water outage/low water pressure issue in the Pilgrim Mill Road peninsula area after a telecommunications contractor struck a water line. Customers reported low or no water pressure over an extended area. Water service was restored quickly however, a boil water advisory is being issued as a precaution for some customers outside of the neighborhood where the damage occurred.

Customers along the following roads should boil water before drinking, cooking or preparing baby food. The water should be boiled for at least one full minute after reaching a full boil:

Continue to boil your water for 48 hours, unless notified otherwise by the Forsyth County Department of Water and Sewer.
