BOIL WATER ADVISORY CANCELLED: Shady Grove Rd. Area

Aug. 24, 2022: BOIL WATER ADVISORY CANCELLEDAll of the water samples from the Shady Grove Rd. outage have passed the bacteria test, and the boil water advisory has been lifted. Water for customers that were impacted by the boil water advisory is safe for consumption without boiling.


UPDATE: Water service is being restored in the affected area as of 6:30 pm. Crews will flush water from hydrants in the area and will test the water to verify that the water is safe for drinking, cooking, and preparing baby food. Please continue to boil water as instructed until the boil water advisory is lifted by the Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer.


Aug. 22, 2022: Due to a water main leak along Shady Grove Road, water has been shut off to customers from the Shady Grove Road/Mountain View Trail intersection to the end of Shady Grove Road to the south. A boil water advisory has been put in place for customers on the following roads:

Crews are onsite and working to restore water service in this area as quickly as possible. Those impacted by the outage should boil water before drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food until the boil water advisory is lifted. The water should be boiled for at least one full minute after reaching a full boil. This boil water advisory is in effect unless notified otherwise by the Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer.
