New Online Citizen Portal Available to Report and Track Status Of Complaint Requests
Forsyth County has launched a new 311 request service portal for residents to report and track the status of concerns and requests.  The portal, which can be found on the County’s website, forsythco.com, or by clicking here, allows for residents to submit a non-emergency report for items such as noise complaints, animal welfare issues, County maintained road repairs such as potholes, etc. Visitors can also view status updates on issues as they are worked by County staff.  “As a County, we want to respond to incidents and complaints as quickly as possible to resolve them,” said Forsyth County Manager Kevin Tanner. ...

Mike Seymour joined the county staff as director of Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) on August 28. This position directs the operational and managerial activities and assists with the strategic planning of the IS&T Department, in addition to providing technical leadership and expertise to county departments and offices.   Seymour brings to the position more than 25 years of professional experience in the field of information technology. January 6, 2017: Due to current weather conditions, all general Forsyth County government offices will close today at 3 p.m. This early closure includes county government offices, the Forsyth County Courthouse and Courthouse Annex, the Animal Shelter, recycling convenience centers, Senior Services, and Forsyth County Parks & Recreation’s indoor and gated facilities. All Parks & Recreation programs and activities are cancelled.   Additionally, Forsyth County Parks & Recreation’s indoor and gated facilities, the recycling convenience centers and the Animal Shelter will be closed to the public Saturday and Sunday. Forsyth County government has hired a chief information officer to manage and administer the county’s information technology initiatives and activities. Mr. Brandon Kenney will join the county staff as chief information officer (CIO) on September 19. This position leads the Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) Department, which encompasses electronic systems development and operations, telecommunications, technical services and electronic records retention/management.   Kenney brings to the position IT experience in the retail, hospitality and automotive industries.
