Upcoming Election Details: June 17 Statewide Special Primary for Georgia Public Service Commission

There’s an election coming up soon – on June 17, a statewide Special Primary for Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) will be held. Each member elected to the PSC shall be required to be a resident of the PSC District they represent and shall be elected statewide by the electors of Georgia. The statewide Special Primary is a special election by the Democratic Party and the Republican Party to nominate candidates for GA PSC to be voted on in the ensuing November Special Election. In Georgia, voters do not register to vote with a party. Voters will select either a Democratic ballot type or a Republican ballot type. A voter’s choice of ballot type for this Special Primary is independent of previous or future choices of ballot types for primaries. The statewide Special Election to elect the Public Service Commissioner for District 2 and for District 3 will be held in November. Here’s more of what you need to know about the June 17 statewide Special Primary.
