Public Hearing Regarding Possible Extension of Moratorium Related to Conservation Subdivisions

Update: At their meeting July 6, 2017, the Board of Commissioners voted to extend the moratorium until October 6, 2017 for Res1, Res2 and Res3 conservation subdivision rezoning applications as well as the moratorium on acceptance of land disturbance permits (LDPs) and sketch plat applications for Res1 conservation subdivisions. The board released the moratorium with respect to acceptance of applications for LDPs on existing Res2 and Res3 Conservation Subdivisions. (The Res1 category will be placed on a future work session for discussion).


The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 5 p.m. to consider a possible extension until October 6, 2017, of the moratorium on the acceptance of rezoning applications for Res1, Res2, and Res3 Conservation Subdivisions, and the acceptance of land disturbance permits or sketch plat permit applications for a Res1, Res2, and Res3 Conservation Subdivision, under Chapter 19 of the UDC.  The public hearing will be held in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Suite 220 of the Forsyth County Administration Building. All Forsyth County residents and any other affected and/or interested persons are invited and encouraged to attend.
