Polls Open Tuesday, July 26 for County Commission District 5 Republican Primary Runoff

The five polls listed below will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 for the County Commission District 5 Republican Primary Runoff. Forsyth County registered voters residing in District 5 who either did not vote in the May 24 Primary, voted a NonPartisan Ballot in the May 24 Primary or voted a Republican Ballot in the May 24 Primary may vote in the Runoff. Those registered voters residing in District 5 who voted a Democratic Ballot in the May 24 Primary are not eligible to vote in the Runoff.  

 

Voters residing in Commission District 5 must go to their designated polling place to vote on Election Day. Please verify your Election Day precinct at forsythco.com prior to heading out to vote. For all in-person voting, remember to bring one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification. Please note there is no voting of any kind the Monday prior to any election.

 

County Commission District 5 encompasses portions of the following precincts:

Browns Bridge: Browns Bridge Church, 3860 Browns Bridge Rd, Cumming, 30041

Mashburn: Lanier United Methodist Church, 1979 Buford Hwy, Cumming, 30041
Otwell: First Baptist Cumming, 1597 Sawnee Dr, Cumming, 30040

South Forsyth: Sharon Springs Park Community Building, 1950 Sharon Rd, Cumming, 30041

Windermere: Windermere Lodge, 4444 Front Nine Dr, Cumming, 30041

 

As only those registered voters residing in District 5 can vote in the Runoff, please refer to this map to determine if you reside in District 5: http://goo.gl/tuKy6E. NOTE: This map contains all of the streets in the county and therefore may take longer to load.

 

Schools No Longer Serve as Election Day Polling Places

If you previously voted at a school, visit forsythco.com or www.mvp.sos.ga.gov to verify your current Election Day polling place.


County Administration Building Not Open For Voting On Election Day

Please be advised: The County Administration Building, located at 110 E. Main Street in Cumming, is open for Advance Voting but is NOT an Election Day polling place. The Voter Registrations and Elections Office in the Administration Building is open all day on Election Day to answer any questions a voter may have, however, there is no voting in the Administration Building on Election Day. A voter’s polling location on Election Day is specific to where their residence (as registered) falls within designated precinct lines and in most cases is no more than 5 miles from a voter’s house. Go to forsythco.com or www.mvp.sos.ga.gov to verify your Election Day polling place.
