Online and Kiosk Vehicle Registration Will be Temporarily Unavailable Statewide
Beginning Tuesday, May 21 through Wednesday, May 29, both online and kiosk tag registration renewal services will be unavailable to allow for a state‐wide Georgia Department of Revenue system upgrade. In addition, all Forsyth County Tax Commissioner Office locations will be closed for data conversion on Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27th (Memorial Day). All Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 28 at 8:30 a.m.
The upgrade, Georgia Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System (DRIVES), is being implemented to modernize the vehicle registration and titling system. The new Georgia DRIVES system will enable more self‐service options, improve customer service and enhance data integrity.
