Advance Voting for November 2 Special Election and City of Cumming Municipal General Election Begins October 12

Advance Voting for the Nov. 2 Special Election and City of Cumming Municipal General Election will be offered to Forsyth County registered voters from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and select Saturdays for three weeks, Oct. 12 through Oct. 29, at the following locations. 

 




Advance Voting will be available on weekdays beginning Tuesday, Oct. 12 through Friday, Oct. 29, and on Saturday, Oct. 16 and 23, at the following locations. Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

  • Forsyth County Voter Registrations and Elections Office (1201 Sawnee Dr.)
  • Cumming City Hall (100 Main St.)

Advance Voting will also be available from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23 and on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 25 through Friday, Oct. 29, at the following locations:

Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

  • Hampton Park Library (5345 Settingdown Road)
  • Sharon Springs Park Community Building (1950 Sharon Road)
  • Midway Park Community Building (5100 Post Road)

All Forsyth County registered voters may take advantage of Advance Voting in person at any of the Advance Voting locations regardless of where they are assigned to vote on Election Day.

Please note that there is no voting at any location on the Monday prior to any election.

The Nov. 2 elections include:

  • A countywide Special Election for the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST) referendum. All residents registered to vote in Forsyth County by the October 4, 2021 voter registration deadline are eligible to vote in the Special Election.
  • A City of Cumming Municipal General Election will be held for the office of Mayor and two City Council seats. Only voters who reside in the city limits of Cumming and who are registered to vote by the October 4, 2021 voter registration deadline are eligible to vote.
