In Forsyth County, if you own the property, reside on that property and are a legal resident of the county, all as of January 1 of the tax year, you may qualify for Homestead Exemption. While you can file for Homestead Exemption year-round, you must file by Monday, April 3, to receive these benefits for 2017.
