The July 7, 6:30 p.m. Forsyth County Zoning Board of Appeals Work Session and 7:00 p.m. Regular Meeting/ Public Hearing shall be both in person and via teleconference pursuant to O.C.G.A. 50-14-1(g). The public notice listing the location and agenda for the Work Session is here, and public notice and agenda for the Regular Meeting/Public Hearing public hearing is here.

The public may physically attend these meetings. However due to COVID 19 concerns, remote viewing and participation is encouraged. Viewers may watch the Regular Meeting/Public Hearing on the County’s website:, as well as TV Forsyth, Comcast channel 23 and AT&T channel 99.  Both the Work Session and Regular Meeting/Public Hearing may be viewed on the Zoom app. Click here to access the Zoom link for remote watching. Forsyth County day care centers must register by June 17 to participate in event

Forsyth County Parks & Recreation is hosting their annual Day Care Center Field Day on Wednesday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to noon at Fowler Park. Children ages 5 and up will participate in a variety of field day activities including relays, sack races and running races. Parks & Recreation has been offering this program for more than 10 years in order to provide a fun event for children that promotes health and wellness.  

County day care centers must register for field day by Friday, June 17. The fee to register is $50 per center and includes activities and awards. There is no limit to how many children can participate from each day care center. Activities begin at 10 a.m. with check-in beginning at 9:45 a.m. If weather is a concern, field day activities will be canceled and day care centers will receive a full refund.
