Fall Baseball and Softball Registration Open Through August 6 July 15, 2019 Parks & Recreation, Parks and Recreation, Photo Leagues are offered for children ages 4 through 17 Forsyth County Parks & Recreation will begin accepting registrations for fall baseball and softball on Monday, July 22, with registration closing at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6. Leagues are offered for boys and girls ages 4 through 17. “The fall baseball and softball league is a very popular program,” said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor. “It’s a great way for kids to learn and practice their skills and make new friends!” Registrations will be accepted online at parks.forsythco.com and at the county’s three recreation centers located at Central Park (2300 Keith Bridge Rd.), Fowler Park (4110 Carolene Way) and Old Atlanta Park (810 Nichols Rd.). The registration fee is $75 for Forsyth County residents and $150 for non-county residents. Team practices will begin the first week of September with games beginning in mid-September. The season ends in late October. Fall baseball and softball is an instructional league and scores or standings will not be recorded. The intent of the fall league is for the participants to have fun and learn the playing rules that will be used in the following spring season.
