It’s not too early to begin making your spring break plans. Forsyth County Parks and Recreation is offering partial and full-week spring break camps this April. The programs vary in location and theme, and are offered for children ages 4 through 15.   Just some of the options for spring break camp include an art camp at Old Atlanta Park, fun and games camp at Fowler Park and a science camp at Sawnee Mountain Preserve. Existing structure must be razed to make way for replacement station   Ground will soon be broken for new Forsyth County Fire Station 8, which will replace the current station located at 6015 Keith Bridge Road in the northeast portion of the county. The replacement station will be constructed adjacent to the existing structure, requiring demolition of the current station prior to commencement of construction. Forsyth County Government Offices to Close Friday, January 22 at 1 p.m.
Friday, January 22, 2016: Due to current weather conditions, all general Forsyth County government offices will close today at 1 p.m. This early closure includes county government offices, the Forsyth County Courthouse, the Animal Shelter, recycling convenience centers, Senior Services, and Forsyth County Parks and Recreation’s indoor and gated facilities. All Parks and Recreation programs and activities are cancelled today.

The voter registration deadline for the March 1 Presidential Preference Primary is February 1. Forsyth County residents wishing to register to vote or to change their name and/or address on the voter registration list may now do so online or in person at the Forsyth County Voter Registrations and Elections Office, located in the County Administration Building at 110 E.
