On Dec. 3, the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit Office of Court Administration launched a new website. The new site is designed to provide residents with improved access to court information. The new website can be found at forsythcourts.com.   The primary features include a streamlined, more modern design as well as improved search, navigation features and enhanced content. In addition, the new website design is mobile friendly for viewing on devices such as a cell phone or tablet. Forsyth County Awarded Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program Grant
Grant to assist individuals with mental illnesses who come in contact with justice system On Sept. 23, 2019, the United States Department of Justice awarded Forsyth County a grant in the amount of $400,000 through its Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (JMHCP). Ride Share Service Now Available for Seniors and Others in Need of Transportation
Ride Share, a pilot transportation program facilitated in partnership with Common Courtesy, Inc., is now available for eligible Forsyth County residents. The program utilizes ride share services such as Lyft and Uber, and will serve as a supplement to the county’s Dial-A-Ride program.   Registered program participants are able to call a dedicated phone number to schedule transportation to any location within Forsyth County for $2 per one-way trip.   To be eligible for the Ride Share program, participants must be a county resident 18 years of age or older and have a credit card and cell phone to reserve transportation. Department recognized for four GRPA awards Forsyth County Parks & Recreation has received the 2019 Georgia Recreation and Park Association (GRPA) District 7 Agency of the Year Award. The agency of the year award identifies the outstanding efforts of recreation and park agencies across the seventh district. Third annual “Home for the Holidays” adoption promotion available through January 2   To help make holiday wishes come true for families, and pets, the Forsyth County Animal Shelter is waiving their standard $85 pet adoption fee.
