NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 5:00 p.m., the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider an amendment to the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County. The public hearing will be held in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Suite 220 of the Forsyth County Administration Building at 110 East Main Street, Cumming, Georgia 30040.  The purpose of the public hearing shall be for public review and comment concerning proposed amendments to the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County, specifically, to establish build-to-rent developments as a conditional use for certain properties; to provide for relevant definitions; to set forth zoning districts eligible for build-to-rent developments; to establish requirements for build-to-rent developments; to repeal conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes.  A copy of the proposed amendment is on file with the clerk in the Forsyth County Administration Building at 110 East Main Street, Cumming, Georgia 30040 and will be made available upon request.  All Forsyth County residents and any other affected and/or interested persons are invited and encouraged to attend.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing for the UDC modifications listed below on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.


The public hearing will be held in the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 East Main Street, Commissioners Meeting Room 220, Second Floor, Cumming, Georgia. If you wish to speak at the public hearing before the Board of Commissioners, you will be required to provide your name and address to staff prior to speaking.


The UDC draft language may be viewed online or by visiting the Department of Planning & Community Development, 110 East Main Street, First Floor, Forsyth County Administration Building, Cumming, Georgia, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Forsyth County Planning Commission is the designated body to hold public hearings for amendments to the Unified Development Code (UDC), amendments to the official zoning map, applications for conditional use permits, home occupation permits, and applications for variances on property considered simultaneously for rezoning.  The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the UDC modifications listed below on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.


The public hearing will be held in the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 East Main Street, Commissioners Meeting Room 220, Second Floor, Cumming, Georgia.  If you wish to speak at the public hearing before the Planning Commission, you will be required to provide your name and address to staff prior to speaking.
