Voter Registration Deadline for November 3 General and Special Elections is October 5

 

ForsythCounty residents wishing to register to vote in the Nov. 3 General and SpecialElections, or to change their name and/or address on the voter registrationlist, must do so by Monday, Oct. 5.

A VoterRegistration Application must be completely filled out, signed and submitted tothe Forsyth County Voter Registration and Elections Office in one of thefollowing ways:

-       In person at the Voter Registration andElections Office (1201 Sawnee Dr.)

o  Applications must be submitted to the officeno later than the close of business at
4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5

-       In person at any Forsyth County Public Library

o  Hours vary by location

-       Mail via USPS

o  Applications must be postmarked no later thanOct. 5

-       Through the online voter registration system (www.mvp.sos.ga.gov)

o  Online applications must be submitted by 11:59p.m. on the night of Monday, Oct. 5.

To use Georgia’s online voter registration system residents must havea valid Georgia driver’s license or identification card issued by the GeorgiaDepartment of Driver Services (DDS) with signature on file with DDS. For thosewithout a valid driver’s license or identification card, the link will allow residents to print a paper registration application tomail/deliver to the Voter Registration and Elections Office. 

Residents are asked to verify their ElectionDay polling place at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov priorto voting on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

 

The Forsyth County Voter Registration andElections Office business hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Toreceive additional election information, visit forsythco.com or call (770) 781-2118 ext. 9.
