October 4 Set as Voter Registration Deadline for November 2 Elections

Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, is the last day for Forsyth County residents to register to vote for the Nov. 2, 2021 Special Election and City of Cumming Municipal General Election or to change their name and/or address on the voter registration list.
 

A Voter Registration Application must be completed, signed and submitted to the Forsyth County Voter Registration and Elections Office in one of the following ways:
 

- In person at the Voter Registration and Elections Office (1201 Sawnee Dr.)

- Applications must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4.

- In person at any Forsyth County Public Library

- Hours vary by location

- Mail via USPS

- Applications must be postmarked no later than Oct. 4.

- Through the online voter registration system, which can be found by clicking here

- Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on the night of Monday, Oct. 4. 
 

The Online Voter Registration System can be used with or without a valid Georgia driver’s license or identification number. For those without a valid driver’s license or identification card, the system provides the option to print a registration application to sign and mail/deliver to the Voter Registration and Elections Office.  

The Nov. 2 elections include:

-  A countywide Special Election for the Educational Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST) referendum. All residents registered to vote in Forsyth County by the October 4, 2021 voter registration deadline are eligible to vote in the Special Election.

-  A City of Cumming Municipal General Election will be held for the office of Mayor and two City Council seats. Only voters who reside in the city limits of Cumming and who are registered to vote by the October 4, 2021 voter registration deadline are eligible to vote. 
 

All Forsyth County registered voters are encouraged to confirm their voter registration information, verify their Election Day polling place and review their sample ballot at mvp.sos.ga.gov prior to going to the polls to vote.
