Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held For New Forsyth County Voter Registration & Elections Office
The newly constructed Forsyth County Voter Registration & Elections facility located at 1201 Sawnee Drive in Cumming - adjacent to the Tax Commissioner’s Office and Magistrate Court - was dedicated with a ribbon cutting ceremony on February 26.
The office was previously located in the County Administration Building with a storage facility at another location. The new facility enables the department to consolidate their two locations for improved efficiency.
With the move, Advance/Early Voting will no longer take place in the County Administration Building or Cumming City Hall. All downtown Advance/Early Voting will now take place at the new Forsyth County Voter Registration & Elections Office.
The Sizemore Group served as the architect for the new building, and construction was done by CBI General Contractors. Ground was broken on the project on March 16, 2017.
