Parks and Recreation Employees Recognized for Several Achievements

During their Nov. 22 Work Session, the Board of Commissioners recognized several Parks and Recreation staff for their achievements. 


CPRP and CPSI             
These new certified staff are part of 22 employees who have the CPRP and CPSI certifications for Forsyth County:
•    Lacy Richards, Admin & Marketing Manager
•    Josh Humphries, Recreation Coordinator at Fowler Park
•    Ashlea Porri, Recreation Supervisor at Old Atlanta Park
•    Jacob Evans, Park Operations Crew Leader at Coal Mountain Park
•    Travis Bryan, Lake Parks Crew Leader
•    Tim Daniel, Big Creek Greenway Crew Leader
•    Carrie Toth (CPSI), Natural Resources Supervisor
Annual Departmental Awards
•    Running the Marathon (Attitude), Travis Bryan, Lake Parks Crew Leader
•    Mountain Mover (Going Above & Beyond), Rhonda Segraves, Rec Team Leader SMP
•    Most Valuable Player, Laura Pate, Deputy Director of Recreation

GRPA State Awards
•    Jeff Jones, Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor (Recreation Network Programmer of the Year)
•    Laura Pate, Deputy Director of Recreation (Distinguished Professional Administrator of the Year)
CAPRA Accreditation
Forsyth County Parks & Recreation was originally received the CAPRA accreditation in 2017, and they were renewed in 2022. The department achieved 156 out of 156 standards.
