Paint and Electronics Recycling Event to Be Held April 16

Support Keep Forsyth County Beautiful’s efforts and recycleyour unused paint and old electronics

Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB)invites residents to recycle their unused paint and old electronics during theupcoming paint and electronics recycling event. The event will be held onSaturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the City of Cumming Fairgrounds inparking lot 3 located at 235 Castleberry Road.

Accepted items for the electronics recycling event includelaptops, stereos, CD players, cell phones, printers, gaming consoles andcontrollers, fax machines and more. The minimum donation per carload drop-offis $5 while an additional $20 fee will apply for each television and anadditional $10 fee will apply for each computer monitor.

Latex and oil-based paints in their original containers willalso be accepted. The cost to dispose of latex paint is $10 for a 5-gallonbucket, $5 for a 2-gallon bucket, $3 for a 1-gallon can or $5 for two, and $1for a 1-quart can or smaller. The cost to dispose of oil-based paints is $15for a 5-gallon bucket, $4 for a 1-gallon can or $6 for two, $2 for a 1-quartcan, and $1 for a 1-pint can. The cost is $1 for any type of spray can.

Some items, such as washers and dryers, large wooden consoletelevisions, projector televisions, toaster ovens and refrigerators, will notbe accepted during the event.
