Judge Jeffrey S. Bagley to be Sworn In as Superior Court Judge December 21
Ceremony and State of the Courts Address Scheduled for 9 a.m. 

Following reelection to a fourth term in office, the Honorable Jeffrey S. Bagley will take the oath of office as Chief Judge of the Superior Court of Forsyth County, Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit, at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018. The Swearing-In Ceremony will be held in Courtroom 501 of the Forsyth County Courthouse (101 E. Courthouse Square).
 
After taking the oath of office, Chief Judge Bagley will deliver the State of the Courts Address. Judge Bagley’s address will cover accomplishments over the past four years, including moving into the new courthouse and future plans for the courts of the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit.

Bagley received a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a law degree from Emory University.  After practicing law for 10 years, he served three years as Judge of the State Court of Forsyth County including a simultaneous two-year term as a Judge of the Juvenile Court of Forsyth County. Since 2000, Judge Bagley has served as a Superior Court Judge for the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit and has served as Chief Judge of the Circuit since 2003. 

He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Forsyth County Bar Association, Council of Superior Court Judges of Georgia, Council of Accountability Court Judges of Georgia and the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, where he served a six-year term on the board.
