Forsyth County Reports March 22, 2026 Sewage Spill to Georgia EPD

In accordance with Environmental Protection Division regulations, this is notice that on Sunday, March 22, 2026, a sewer spill of approximately 4,700 gallons occurred in the Saddlebrooke Glen subdivision close to Old Alpharetta Road entering an unnamed tributary of Caney Creek. The spill was caused by a blockage of tree cleaning debris in the system. The Department of Water & Sewer was notified of the spill at 10:45 a.m. and had the issue corrected at 2:40 p.m. Crews removed the debris, cleaned up the surrounding grounds and treated the area with lime. Informational signs have been posted in the surrounding residential area. Forsyth County is taking all necessary precautions and complying with EPD guidelines. The Georgia EPD was notified of the incident on following corrective actions on March 22, 2026.
