Forsyth County Board of Commissioners Commemorates the 235th Anniversary of the Signing of the U.S. Constitution

During their Sept. 1 meeting, the Board of Commissioners commemorated Sept. 17, 2022, as the 235th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution.

In 4,543 words, framed over 100 days, the Constitution defines the limitations on government, the checks and balances on which our branches of government rely, and the principles of individual liberty and responsibility.

The Board recognizes the sacrifices made to create and sign this document and expresses the appreciation and gratitude of the citizens of Forsyth County to the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution for their effort to protect the legacy of our nation’s founders and promote patriotism.
