August 30, 2018:   Effective immediately, a Boil Water Advisory is in effect on Sharon Road from the intersection of the Sharon Greens shopping center to 2033 Sharon Road, Sharon Circle, Sharon Drive, Oak Lane, Sharon Walk subdivision (Sharon Walk Drive, Arbor Chase, Bricker Court, Brookton Way,  Brentwood Court & Westford Cove) and Sharon Springs Park.

Last night a Forsyth County contractor struck a water line on Sharon Road, leading to a water outage for residents in and near the Sharon Walk neighborhood.  Water outages can cause water pressure to drop.  When this occurs, a potential health concern may exist in the area.

In order to protect the public from this potential health concern, all residents that have experienced this outage and/or low water pressure are advised to boil all water prior to use for drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food.  The water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil.  Residents should continue to boil their water until they are notified by Forsyth County that water service has been restored to full operation, and that the microbiological quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption.

For questions, please contact the Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer:  770-781-2160
