Big Creek Greenway Reopened After Flooding

UPDATE (4/7/17): The Big Creek Greenway has been reopened, as floodwaters have receded. The boardwalk trail between mile 6.1 and 6.2, which sustained heavy damage during a storm on March 21, remains closed while it undergoes repairs.

The Big Creek Greenway trail is closed from the McFarland Parkway Trailhead to the Bethelview Road Trailhead due to flooding from yesterday's storms.

Users can still access the newest portion of the trail by parking at the Bethleview Trailhead and traveling north towards Kelly Mill Road. For up-to-date information, visit www.forsythco.com/parks or call the Parks & Recreation automated weather line at (770) 886-2851 and press 4 for the Big Creek Greenway.
