Tropical Storm Irma Update

Forsyth County government continues to closely monitor Tropical Storm Irma and prepare for any potential impacts it may have on our area. The county’s Emergency Operations Center has been activated to coordinate the county’s response and resources. County departments and agencies are prepared to implement emergency plans as conditions warrant.

Tropical Storm force winds are expected and may bring down trees and power lines. Remember to always treat downed power lines as if they are live. Report a power outage by calling your power company: Sawnee EMC 770-887-2363; Georgia Power 1-888-891-0938.

 

Drivers are encouraged to stay off the roadways. If you must drive and encounter to a traffic light out, treat it as four-way stop.
