Storm Drain Art Contest Winners Recognized by Board of Commissioners
During a May 21 regular meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recognized the winners of the 2026 Storm Drain Art Contest hosted by Keep Forsyth County Beautiful and the Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer.
The students recognized were:
- Evana Deivasankar (South Forsyth High School)
- Mishri Patel (South Forsyth High School)
- Arsh Pulavarthi (South Forsyth Middle School)
The annual contest invited Forsyth County middle and high school students to submit original artwork promoting water quality awareness and the message “Only Rain Goes Down the Drain.”
The winning students painted their artwork on designated storm drains outside of their schools to help educate the community about protecting local waterways and watershed health. In addition to public recognition, each student received $100 in compensation for their work and a certificate of recognition.
