Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held for The Technology Corridor

Portion of SR 400 given name to highlight technology industry

State and local leaders gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony to recognize the recent naming of a portion of SR 400 as The Technology Corridor on Oct. 27 at technology business incubator Digital Ignition (190 Bluegrass Valley Pkwy.) in Alpharetta. For photos from the event, click here.

In early 2022, the state legislature officially dubbed a stretch of SR 400 from Mansell Rd. to SR 20 as The Technology Corridor. This stretch of GA 400 is often referred to as the fastest-growing tech area in Georgia and boasts the highest concentration of tech talent in the state. The area has also combined attributes that create an ideal environment for technology companies to establish and develop.

“Today, Forsyth County is not crawling or even walking, we are sprinting forward in terms of tech business growth, separating ourselves as one of the state’s most attractive places for tech business,” said Forsyth County Board of Commissioners Chairman Alfred John. “We are only just beginning to see the fruits of these efforts.”

The partnerships between city government, county government and the private sector cultivate exceptional locations for prosperity.
