Registration Open for Forsyth County Fire Department Citizens’ Fire Academy
Free hands-on program educates residents about fire services

Now in its fifth year, the 10-week Forsyth County Fire Department Citizens’ Fire Academy offers participants an inside look at the profession of firefighting, hands-on experience with equipment used by the fire department as well as an opportunity to interact with first responders. Forsyth County residents interested in participating are invited to register for the upcoming program, which provides a chance to learn about the variety of services the department provides.

“The Forsyth County Fire Department is proud to serve the citizens of the county every day, so we enjoy this chance to show the community the methods and equipment we use to do so,” said Fire Chief Danny Bowman. “This is a really unique chance for residents to not just get a hands-on learning experience, but to also interact with first responders.”
