Property Assessments Now Available to View and Appeal Online

Forsyth County property owners now havethe option to see their 2020 Real Property Assessment online, review comparable properties and file an appeal for their property value, if necessary.

 

“We are excited to introduce this newway to review property assessments online,” said Director of the Board ofAssessors and Chief Appraiser Mary Kirkpatrick. “If a resident needs to file anappeal for their property value, they can now do so from the comfort of theirhome without having to enter the Board of Assessors office.”


Property assessments can be viewedonline by visiting the Board of Assessors page on the County’s website,forsythco.com, or by clicking here. Visitors to the page can find their property assessment bysearching the owner’s name, parcel number or address of the property. Aproperty summary, owner information, assessed value, maps and a link to submitan appeal will be available for review.

 

2020 Real Property Assessment Noticeswere mailed to County residents on May 21, 2020. Property owners will have theopportunity to appeal their property value as shown in the assessment noticefor 45 days after the date of the notice. The last day to file an appeal onreal estate will be July 6, 2020.

 

Each Property Assessment notice isinformational and is not a bill. Thedollar amount included on this informational notice is an estimate based on theprevious year's millage rate and is subject to change before the actual taxbill goes out later in the year.
