VIDEO: See the Latest Progress on the Old Atlanta Road Widening

Looking for the latest update about the Old Atlanta Road widening project?

In this episode of On the Move, Capital Projects Director John Jefferson discusses the progress of the project and what motorists in the area should expect on their daily commute.

Watch the full episode:

The project spans about 3.5 miles from James Burgess Road to St. Marlo Country Club Parkway and will include two lanes in both directions, a grass median, five-foot-wide sidewalk on one side of the road and a 10-foot-wide multi-use trail on the other.

All funding sources are local and come from SPLOST VII, SPLOST VIII, impact fees and the County’s Capital Outlay funds.

Tree clearing and underground utility relocations will happen through the winter, so motorists are advised to slow down and watch the County’s social media channels for construction updates.

In case you missed it, watch the last episode of On the Move to get updated on the Exit 18 bridge and SR 369 widening projects!
