Join the Great American Cleanup on March 16

Registration open for Keep ForsythCounty Beautiful’s annual cleanup effort

 

Keep Forsyth CountyBeautiful welcomes everyone to take part in the Great FoCo Cleanup by helpingremove litter from the community’s roadways on Saturday, March 16. The effortis a part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup.

 

Participants – either asan organized team of volunteers or as individuals – will meet at the CentralPark Recreation Center (2300 Keith Bridge Rd.) at 9 a.m. for a brief rally tostart the cleanup event. Volunteers will then depart to clean up roadways inthe community before returning to the recreation center for food and fun.

 

“This event is afantastic opportunity for residents, community organizations, families,businesses or clubs to really make a positive impact on our community,” saidEnvironmental Program Manager Tammy Wright. “It is always great to see thecommunity come together for events such as this to help make our county thebest it can be.”

 

Volunteers with pickuptrucks are also needed following the event to help collect the trash from thevarious clean-up locations.

For participants registering as a group, please provide the group’sname, group leader’s name, email and phone number, and the number of volunteersexpected to participate as part of the group.
