Information Regarding Proposed Southeast Forsyth Asphalt Plant

Update on Asphalt Plant Public Hearing: During the Dec. 19, 2019 meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners voted to terminate the county-initiated Conditional Use Permit (CUP) request for an asphalt plant in SE Forsyth. However, because of the timing of the publication of the agenda for the Jan. 9, 2020 meeting, the public hearing for this CUP (CP190040) still appears on the Jan. 9 agenda. Because the application has been terminated, the Board is anticipated to vote during the Jan. 9 meeting to remove the public hearing (No. 5) from the agenda.

There have been a number of questions regarding the proposed relocation of an asphalt plant on Granite Road in SE Forsyth.  We have created a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document to address some of these.

We also wanted to share additional documents regarding this.
