Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of Vice President Dick Cheney
By executive order of Gov. Brian Kemp, the flag of the United States and the Georgia flag at Forsyth County government facilities will fly at half-staff in honor of Vice President Richard “Dick” Bruce Cheney, who passed away on Nov. 3, 2025.
Vice President Cheney lived a life dedicated to public service. He began his political career in 1969 and served in various roles, including Vice President of the United States, U.S. Secretary of Defense, member of the U.S. House of Representatives, White House Chief of Staff and White House Deputy Chief of Staff
Flags will be lowered until sunset on the day of his internment.
