Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of Charles Kirk
By executive order of Gov. Brian Kemp, in conjunction with a proclamation of the President of the United States of America, the flag of the United States of America and the flag of the State of Georgia at Forsyth County government facilities will be flown at half-staff until sunset on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, in honor of and as a mark of respect for Charles "Charlie" Kirk.
Kirk, 31, was killed in an act of political violence while speaking at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025.
Kirk was a widely known and respected public speaker, author and advocate for political discourse, particularly among college campuses.
