August 11 Election Day Information

Tuesday, Aug. 11, is Election Day for the General Primary Runoffs. The two runoffs are for the Democratic and Republican Primary for US Congressional District 9 and the Republican Primary for State House District 9. Polling places involved in the runoffs will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Forsyth County registered voters must go to their designated polling place to cast a vote.


There is no countywide runoff election on Aug. 11. Only voters registered in US Congressional District 9 and State House District 9 are eligible to vote in the runoff. A map of the voters impacted can be found here and the Aug. 11 Voter Information Guide can be found here.  


The following eight Election Day precincts are affected by the US Congressional District 9 Runoff. Three of the precincts have only a portion of their voters represented by US Congressional District 9. Visit the My Voter Page at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov for information on your assigned US Congressional District. 


Polling Places/Precincts involved in the US Congressional District 9 Runoff:

-      03 Browns Bridge: Central Park Recreation Center (only a portion of voters assigned to this precinct)  

-      04 Chestatee: Atlanta Cricket Fields (all voters assigned to this precinct) 

-      05 Coal Mountain: Coal Mountain Park Community Building (all voters assigned to this precinct)   

-      06 Crossroads: Hampton Park Library (all voters assigned to this precinct) 

-      15 Heardsville: Sawnee Mountain Park Community Building (all voters assigned to this precinct)

-      16 Otwell: First Baptist Cumming (only a portion of voters assigned to this precinct) 

-      27 Concord: Concord Baptist Church (all voters assigned to this precinct) 

-      37 Sawnee: County Parks and Recreation Operations Center (only a portion of voters assigned to this precinct)


The following two Election Day precincts are affected by the State House District 9 Runoff. Both precincts have only a portion of their voters represented by State House District 9. Visit the My Voter Page at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov for information on your assigned State House District. 


Polling Places/Precincts involved in the State House District 9 Runoff:

-     15 Heardsville: Sawnee Mountain Park Community Building   

-     27 Concord: Concord Baptist Church  


The eight polling places listed above will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
