Attention Big Creek Greenway enthusiasts – here are a few updates on the Big Creek Greenway in Forsyth County.

Work is continuing on Phase 4, which will extend the multi-use trail approximately 2.8 miles. This new phase will begin at the Bethelview Road trailhead and continue along Big Creek, then run parallel to Kelly Mill Road and end at Johnson Road. While this project has experienced some weather and redesign delays, we are looking forward to opening this new section soon. For safety, please don’t use this section of the trail until it’s officially opened.

If you plan to park at the Bethelview Road trailhead Tuesday, July 5, please note that due to the Bethelview Road widening work, water will be off at the trailhead from approximately 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. While the water is off, the trailhead’s restrooms will be temporarily closed and the water fountains will be temporarily out of service.
