“Home for the Holidays” adoption promotion available November 24 through January 2

To help make holiday wishes come true for families, and pets, the Forsyth County Animal Shelter is waiving their standard $85 pet adoption fee. The Home for the Holidays promotion is available for pet adoptions through Jan. 2, 2019.

“All of the pets at the shelter deserve a good home year-round, but especially during the holidays, we are hoping that every animal here will find a home,” said Animal Shelter Manager Cindy Iacopella. “By taking advantage of this free adoption period, residents can not only save money but more importantly give a new life to these wonderful animals.”

The shelter’s adoption fee includes micro-chipping for all pets, altering and age appropriate vaccinations.

The Forsyth County Animal Shelter, located just off of GA 400 at 4065 County Way in northern Forsyth County, provides animal adoptions Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The shelter will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 25 for Christmas as well as Tuesday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.

In addition to seeking homes for all of the animals in their care, the Forsyth County Animal Shelter is always looking for volunteers, those willing to foster animals and donations of items such as pet food, toys and bedding.
