Georgia Voters do NOT Register by Party
In Georgia, voters do not register to vote by party. On the day of a Primary, each voter chooses a Democratic, Republican or Non-Partisan/Special Election (if applicable) ballot. In the case of a runoff, those who chose a Democratic ballot in the Primary can only vote a Democratic ballot in the Primary Runoff. Those who chose a Republican ballot in the Primary can only vote Republican ballot in the Primary Runoff. Those registered voters who did not vote in the Primary or who voted a Non-Partisan/Special Election ballot can choose either a Democratic, Republican or NonPartisan/Special Election (if applicable) ballot in the Primary Runoff.

Other Ways to Register
Voter Registration Applications are available at the Voter Registrations & Elections office.   Applications are also available at any public library in Forsyth County. With the passing of the National Voter Registration Act, also known as the "Motor Voter" law, residents can register at the same time they receive their driver's license.   Applications are also available to be picked up at most state, local or federal government offices.  To verify if you are registered in Forsyth County, click here.
