Help Shape Your Community

Do you live, work, own a business or property in Southeast Forsyth? If so – we are looking for your input!

Forsyth County is working on a project that will help provide a sense of identity for the southeastern portion of the county. This will include a logo and tagline, as well as other marketing recommendations to help identify the area.

These recommendations will help support a brand style as part of a larger placemaking initiative currently underway that will also incorporate commercial design standards as an additional element of the project.

Working with consultants, we will be holding a Community Character Workshop at the Sharon Springs Park Community Building (1950 Sharon Rd., Cumming, GA 30041) to receive input from residents, business and property owners with an interest in the Southeast Forsyth community.

There will be several opportunities for community participation over the three-day period of September 16, 17 and 18.

A Placemaking Menu was developed as an initial effort to establish community identify for Southeast Forsyth. This document is intended to inspire citizens, developers and the county to focus on the creation of destinations and places that will promote a sense of belonging. It is a collaborative and flexible guidebook for the community and is the precursor to the upcoming branding initiative.
