Forsyth County Accountability Courts
The CARE Program is designed to help offenders who have been identified with severe and persistent mental health diagnoses by linking those individuals to local, community-based treatment resources. The main goals of the CARE Program are to improve public safety and prevent participants’ further involvement in the criminal justice system.
Drug Court provides intensive supervision and drug abuse treatment for offenders within the community over a 24-month period not to exceed 4 years. The program encompasses vocational, educational, and spiritual components in conjunction with providing substance abuse treatment.
The DUI Court is designed to improve community safety and reduce DUI recidivism by providing multiple DUI offenders and those persons exhibiting a high BAC the opportunity to change their lives using enhanced judicial accountability, treatment, and increased supervision.
The Forsyth County Family Treatment Court exists to serve families through a coordinated effort that aligns the power of the court with comprehensive services to break the cycle of substance abuse and ensure children have a safe and permanent home.
