Ali Norris Interview

Lanierland Park

  • March 30, 2017 |

What a great ribbon cutting ceremony for Lanierland Park!  Thank you to everyone who came out to be a part of the program: Chestatee Elementary and Silver City Elementary Choruses, North Forsyth High's JROTC, NFHS Head Football Coach Robert Craft, NFHS Junior JoAnn Ahn, the clients of Creative Enterprises, Parks and Recreation Director Jim Pryor and Deputy Director Tommy Bruce, Commissioner Pete Amos, Senator Michael Williams, Parks and Recreation Board members Gary Cooper and Chandon Adams, and BOE member Darla Light.  I appreciate everyone's support and especially the voters who supported the Parks, Recreation and Green Space Bond that bought the land and impact fees that helped to develop the park. I appreciate all of our staff's efforts that got the park ready and our Communications Department who put this event together. Great job to all involved. Our county is so fortunate to have great employees!  Take your kids out to Lanierland Park to enjoy the playground. The park also includes four rectangular synthetic turf fields, four picnic pavilions, restroom and concession facilities, and parking. The county will be building a walking trail in the future. There's something there that they will love and they will love you taking them!

Thank you for allowing me to serve you!
