Ali Norris Interview

Dear Forsyth County Residents:

Opportunity is knocking!  We have one more chance to do the right thing for our county and state and it takes only a couple of minutes to do just that.  The deadline to complete the 2020 U.S. Census has been extended to October 31st .   This is wonderful news as the Census is important not only to the nation, but to us here in Forsyth County. Counting everyone in our country and community helps accurately allocate funds for our local public resources (e.g., roads, hospitals, schools), plan for the future and determine government representation.

Responding to the census is always quick, easy and secure. Please, take a moment and fill out the online form here: https://2020census.gov/en.html.

To those that have already participated in the Census, thank you very much but you can still help.  Please take a moment to share this message with your family, friends, neighbors, Facebook friends, and others.  Reach out and ask others if they have filled out their census in your circles.

According to the US Census Response Rate page, Forsyth County ranks second among Georgia counties in self response rate at 77.3% as of 10/7. That is well above the Georgia response rate of 62.6%. The report can be found here:

Even though we are second in the state in filling it out, when you consider our education level in our county, 77% is really rather mediocre.  Why can’t we be at 90% when it takes 2 minutes to do? We need to be in 1st place!  Let’s do this! Let’s finish really strong in the two weeks we have left.  Accept the challenge and help FoCo be the best that it can be!

Thank you so much for your help!  Forsyth County citizens are the best!
