Senior Services Celebrates National Senior Citizens Day
Did you know that August 21 was National Senior Citizens Day? It’s a day Forsyth County Senior Services celebrates every day! From appreciating the wisdom and positive impact of seniors in our community to offering a variety of programs and events that encourage movement, socialization, learning and fun, the staff of Forsyth County’s modern senior centers work hard to make every day a great day for adults age 60 and better in Forsyth County.
Whether you are 62, or 92, there is a program for you! For those seeking artistic endeavors, both centers offer daily art classes for all levels of ability and creative expression. Senior Services offers five-day-a-week fitness classes that include yoga, line dancing and core exercises, just to name a few. Many older adults also volunteer with Senior Services supporting the Meals on Wheels nutrition program and center events.
